Nuclear Cardiology

An Interactive Review in Nuclear Cardiology

Getting Started

Please take a moment to read the notes on this page before continuing to the course material located under the heading “Course Syllabus.”  Let’s start off with a couple recommendations for this educational activity:

1) During your course you may receive emails from the MDT concierge group regarding enhancements.  Your CME certificate will also be issued electronically via email upon the completion of your course.  To ensure that you receive these messages, please add concierge@mdtathome.com to your address book/safe senders list.

2) Throughout the course you will be taking quizzes to assess your understanding of the materials presented.  Although these results are submitted electronically and backed up on MDT servers, it is highly recommended that you take note of your answers as a backup.

Your course will cover a comprehensive review of image acquisition, patient related artifact/errors, gamma & PET camera overview, MUGA, QA testing, image interpretation, stress protocols, radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety and an extensive look into dose reduction and generator safety. The course concludes with a post-test structured very similar to the Nuclear Cardiology Board Exam. This final activity was designed with the following in mind: Didactic review, critical thinking exercises, clinical scenarios and medical imaging analysis.

Remember: Nuclear modules/sections will continue to be updated to reflect current guidelines and practices, so keep an eye on the course syllabus for newly released material. The Chapters for this course are located in the column under the heading “Course Syllabus”. Click on a Chapter title in the expandable accordion to display each Chapter’s links by section/module. When you click on a section, the module will open in your browser. After reviewing the didactic material, you will be redirected to this menu page where you may continue working through the course.
